Finance and Investment Management.

The Department of Finance and Investment Management assists JKU companies in matters relating to shareholders and supervisory boards.

In this context, the primary focus lies in the area of financial monitoring. The JKU is also responsible for risk controlling, financial resource reporting, and investment management.

Responsibilities

The Department of Finance and Investment Management has an active intermediary role at the JKU: Internally, the department shares responsibilities with departments and information prepared for the Rectorate; Externally, investment management serves as a point of contact for managing directors and their financial officers as well as other external parties.

On one hand, the Department of Finance and Investment Management serves as a collecting point as part of a JKU-wide effort to monitor risks and, on the other hand, the department works together with the Finance Department in the area of risk communication. The department also prepares financial resource reports together with the departments of Controlling and Financial Accounting and prepares reports for JKU committees. Operationally, the Department of Finance and Investment Management is coordinated with financial accounting and, on a strategic level, with the Rectorate.
