Development and History
  • 2021 - Univ. Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Berger was appointed Professor of Entrepreneurship - New Business Venturing and Innovative Regions at the JKU and head of the institute. In November 2021, the Institute for Business Creation and Development was changed to the Institute for Entrepreneurship.
  • 2003 - Univ. Prof. Dr. Norbert Kailer is appointed Professor of Business Creation and Development at the JKU and appointed as head of the institute.
  • 2003 - On account of strong student interest, the Chair is established as an institute at the JKU Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics & Business, also under the direction of Prof. Dr. Alfred Gutschelhofer.
  • 2000 - The first endowed chair in Austria was established for a three-year period during the 2000/2001 academic year under the direction of Prof. Dr. Alfred Gutschelhofer.
  • 1998 - The pilot progrm "Project Studies for Business Start-Ups" is launched
