Examination, Supervision and Consultation

Examination GP Sustainability Management (BWL-Bachelor)

The Sustainable Transformation Management Lab coordinates the examination for the  GP Sustainability Management (BWL).

If you need to take the final examination in the subject Sustainability Management (GP Sustainability Management), you need to apply for the dates according to the Office of Examination and Recognition Services (see Examination Dates, opens in new window). To prepare for the exam, you need to get access to our literature list. Please write an e-mail to claudia.scheba(at)jku.at. You need to study all articles on the list. The examination will encompass questions regarding key (!) concepts of the articles and/or we will give an empirical example (e.g. a media article) with questions (where you need to demonstrate that you are able to apply key concepts).

Supervision

  • We supervise bachelor thesis through the course “Bachelorseminar” in the Bachelor’s program Business Administration. For an exemplary work of a bachelor thesis see the following one that Prof. Gegenhuber supervised: https://jums.ub.uni-muenchen.de/JMS/article/view/5052, opens an external URL in a new window (Published in JUMS).

  • For those interested in writing a master thesis, please contact Claudia Scheba (claudia.scheba(at)jku.at). Master thesis must relate to our research projects and interests (see our section on research).

  • If you are looking for a dissertation supervisor you can contact Prof. Thomas Gegenhuber (thomas.gegenhuber(at)jku.at). The topic must fit with our research projects and interests. To be considered for supervision, you need to submit a 3-5 page research proposal.

If you plan to write qualitative bachelor and master thesis and you want to improve your methodological skills, please check out these two free online courses on the Twills-Platform, to which Prof. Thomas Gegenhuber contributed as well:

Please write an E-Mail to claudia.scheba(at)jku.at to arrange a date for a meeting. Depending on my (and your) availability, the meeting will take place at JKU or via Zoom. To ensure a productive meeting, please prepare a briefing (max 1 page) outlining the questions and content of the meeting. You must send Thomas Gegenhuber (thomas.gegenhuber(at)jku.at) the briefing one day before our meeting. If you have sensitive questions or personal issues you do not want to raise in the briefing, just let us know. Depending on the issue at hand, meetings can last from 15 min to 1h.
