We are focused on establishing and advancing virtual anatomy to support medical studies based on the currently offered course "Virtual Anatomy and Patho-Anatomy" at the JKU medSPACE. With the program "Cinematic Rendering", we can create photorealistic human anatomical representations displayed on a large screen to explore hidden areas of the human body. The technology even supports broadcasting surgeries live. Before starting the procedure, surgeons can clearly enlarge the affected organ, blood vessel, muscle, or tendon strand as a three-dimensional object and view the organ from various angles and directions. The lecture has been designed to help med students and physicians acquire an even better understanding of the organ's structure and function.
